Cash gifts are the most common, and the easiest, way to donate. You can make a one-time gift or a recurring gift on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. You can even give now.
Pledging an amount now and spreading payments over time allows you to make a more generous gift. We can accept pledges for gifts to be made over a period of three years or longer.
You can make a gift of appreciated marketable securities, including stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, by transferring these assets to the Lubbock Christian University Foundation.
Real estate can be a valuable gift to LCU. We can advise you and assist you in giving residences, farms, commercial buildings, land parcels or other types of property to the university.
Make a long-term contribution to LCU that involves your life insurance policy, estate plan, charitable gift annuity or other planned gift. We can help you arrange and process your planned gift.
Gifts of tangible personal property, such as art, antiques, various collectibles, and many other items can also benefit LCU.
Through an endowed gift, you can help LCU lay the groundwork for continued success as a competitive university. Your investment in LCU can be used to support a program, scholarship, or faculty chair position. These gifts typically bear the donor’s name, celebrating your commitment to and support of LCU.
Many donors establish gifts to honor a loved one or special mentor, professor or friend. These unique gifts not only provide essential support for the university, but also ensure that the honoree’s legacy will endure forever at LCU.
Many businesses generously match all or part of their employees’ charitable contributions. We can assist you in finding out what your employer’s policy is and in handling the transaction.
The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship will be a platform for faculty and staff to explore innovations in education, enhance their scholarly endeavors, and discover ways to meet the demands of 21st century learners. The LCU Foundation provided seed funding in 2019.
The Christian Scholars Conference, an annual national interdisciplinary academic conference for people of faith hosted in 2019 by LCU, was made possible in part by funding by the LCU Foundation.
In a competitive environment, LCU Admissions contends vigorously for the hearts and minds of potential students with supplementary funding provided by the LCU Foundation for the past several years.
LCU has an acute need for additional on-campus housing. The LCU Foundation has been spearheading this effort which is still in process.
The LCU School of Business recently moved into a new facility on Campus and is committed to developing its faculty with auxiliary funding by the LCU Foundation in 2018 and 2017.
LCU Washington has provided students an opportunity for internships in our nation’s capital since 2013. The LCU Foundation has played an integral role is supporting this program which has enabled over 60 LCU student benefit from this unique opportunity.
LCU Study Abroad was launched in the fall of 2016 with seed funding from the LCU Foundation.
The Margaret Talkington Center for Nursing Education was opened in September of 2015 through a generous grant from the JT and Margaret Talkington Foundation secured by the LCU Foundation.
The transition of LCU Athletics from NAIA to NCAA Division II in 2015 was facilitated in part through funding provided the LCU Foundation.
Lubbock Christian University Foundation was set up in 2009 to support the work and projects of Lubbock Christian University by uniting donor passions and university goals. Established as a not-for-profit, independent 501(c)(3) organization, LCU Foundation focuses on strategic initiatives to promote the mission of LCU.
